E.L. Roberson Center

As a nationally-accredited multipurpose senior center, this facility allows older adults to continue an active life through constantly-expanding educational, cultural, recreational, and community activities and services.

Braswell Center

This facility offers:
  • A game room and two meeting rooms (available for rent at a nominal fee)
  • A full-court gymnasium with basketball programs
  • A full fitness center with a weight room, treadmills, stairmasters, ellipticals, stationary bicycles, sit-up boards, and weight machines
  • Braswell Park (home to two multipurpose ballfields) is located adjacent

  • A multi-functional playground set

  • A newly-installed 'Story Walk' addition which promotes reading while walking for kids!

Indian Lake Sports Complex

Enjoy participating in or watching sports at this expansive complex! Indian Lake is ideal for tournament play. It features:
  • One regulation baseball field
  • Four regulation softball fields
  • Two soccer fields
  • Walk the Wheel and TRACK Trail 
  • Connectivity to Indian Lake Park

  • Picnic Shelter

Indian Lake Park

 
This beautiful 52-acre park features:                                 
  • A scenic 6 ½-acre lake
  • An outdoor stage
  • Expansive nature trails
  • Camping and picnic sites
  • Horseshoes and volleyball courts
  • A pavilion (available for rent)
  • Restroom facilities
Indian Lake Park is the perfect place to get active! Plan out your workout route or hike using our trail map, or "Walk the Wheel" for a quick and easy stroll. Kids will love following our TRACK Trail guide around Indian Lake for a self-guided adventure through nature!  Complete our Fisheries Survey to assist us in improving the lake fishery for your enjoyment!

Tarboro Municipal Stadium

Our historic Municipal Stadium.  Former home of minor league teams and current home of the Tarboro High School Vikings and the Tarboro River Bandits. 

Community Swimming Pool

Riverfront Park

     
Location: One entrance is found along Albemarle Avenue near the traffic circle, and the other is where Granville Street turns into Panola Street
Hours of operation: Sunup to sundown
Located along the Tar River adjacent to downtown, Riverfront Park offers:
  • 25 acres of beautiful cypress lowlands, landscaped gardens, and trails
  • A boat ramp granting direct access to the river for boating and fishing enthusiasts

Livesay Park

 
Location: At the corner of Lake and Speight Forest Drive in the Speight Forest neighborhood
Livesay Park is a meticulously-landscaped garden park designed as an urban greenspace. It has paths with benches in an attractive wooded setting.
